Careers information and activities

Background

High quality, inspiring careers information is essential for 11-14 year olds. We’re proud to say we’ve reached over 850,000 young people and 20,000 teachers with our careers literature since April 2015.

We work with the Institution of Engineering and Technology, the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, the Institution of Civil Engineers and the Institute of Physics to develop our careers resources. They provide clear, consistent guidance for young people and their teachers.

The resources cover both university and apprenticeship routes into engineering. They help young people to understand more about the world of engineering, learning about engineers working in real jobs, solving real problems.

How to get involved

If you'd like to take a look at the range of careers literature available, have a look at the 'Careers Resources and activities' tab on this website. All resources can be downloaded from our 'Download careers resources' page.

You can take a look at our new interactive careers presentation.

You can also point your students towards our range of real job case studies, or the other essential careers information on this website.

The Teacher Advisory Group (TAG)

We aim to make sure that what we do is fit for purpose for schools and young people. The group facilitates constructive, two-way communication (both online and face-to-face) with the teaching community, helping to inform design and delivery of our career programmes.

Join, or find out more about TAG.
